Rallying is one of the dearest and followed motorsport series. It has fans from all over the world and has the most passionate supporters.
While the World Rally Championship started in 1973, this form of racing can be traced back to 1911, when the Monaco Rally started.
With 50 years of history, the World Rally Championship has produced many different cars. Some of them earned legendary status for their innovative technology, sound and looks. From the screaming Audi Quattro S1 to the good looking modern-day Toyota Yaris.

#12. Citroën DS3 WRC – 26 Wins
The Citroën DS3 WRC was introduced in 2011. Part of WRC rule changes in 2011, that lowered the capacity of the engine from 2-liter to 1.6-liter turbo rally cars. Sebastien Loeb won his last two championships driving the DS3 WRC.
#11. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution – 26 Wins
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution started racing in the WRC in 1997. Lancer Evolutions won several WRC Rallies from 1996 to 1999, mostly in the hands of Tommi Mäkinen. It won the manufacturers’ championship in 1998.
#10. Ford Escort – 31 Wins
The Ford Escort started rallying at the Monte Carlo rally in 1973. It has over 40 years of rallying. The Ford Escort has a cult following, and is still rallied today in various championships.
#9. Citroën Xsara WRC – 32 Wins
The Citroën Xsara WRC was introduced in 2001. It started the domination of the French badge in the WRC. Sebastien Loeb won the most rallies with this car. It won the 2003, 2004 and 2005 manufacturers’ championships.
#8. Hyundai i20 WRC – 32 Wins
The Hyundai i20 WRC made its debut at the 2014 Rallye Monte Carlo. It represents the return of Hyundai to the WRC since 2004. It won the 2014 Rallye Deutschland in its first season. The Hyundai i20 WRC won the manufacturers’ championships in 2019 and 2020.
